Friday Favorites

In search for this week's Friday Favorites, I found some amazing stores! And quite international ones at that! Yellow and Blue are two of my favorite colors so I decided to use them as the color pallet for my choices. I would love some feedback on what you thought of this week's Friday Favorites!

First Etsy Treasury

I've been meaning to make an Etsy "treasury" for months - and finally did! If you don't know what a treasury is, click on "Roses of the City Streets" to find out! In short, its a 4x4 grid of really cool items that usually match ;) I went with red, grey, and some kind of taupe color. Let me know what you think!

A New Season

My grandmother died last Thursday at the age of 93. She is with the Lord and there is no greater comfort than that. She was a wonderful woman, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and musician. Alma Hermans touched many lives and many will remember her and her legacy.

I love you Grandma.
 
Needless to say, I have had no opportunity to finish the purse. I have decided recently that I am going to take a small break from the store. All of my current items will remain and I will still continue to post, but for the next couple of months I will take it easy. I start a full-time summer job at Kaiser Permanente this coming Monday so I will inevitably be quite busy. But, of course, I will still be actively online and can answer any questions or mail any sold items. In the fall, I will again post my scarves and then also perhaps make some new items. Thanks and blessings to you all! 

Up and Coming

I'm trying to finally finish this purse I started in April. Now that I replaced the yarn needle I lost, it should go much smoother! If all goes well, I am hoping to have two purses ready to model by this weekend and to have them up in the shop sometime next week. :)

A Birthday Clutch for Natalie

My sister-in-law's birthday was this week and had been searching for a perfect gift for months. I expected to find a bracelet or necklace that she might like during my trip to Venice Beach, but I didn't have any luck. Then I set out to find a cute mug that said something like "Somebody at CSULB loves me" - and I did - but it wasn't what I would call attractive. So with three days to figure SOMETHING out for her birthday, I looked down at what I was making and discovered it was perfect for her!

If there is enough interest in the clutch, I will consider making a couple for the store. Comment and let me know what you think!

A Fun Extra

I wasn't able to use this picture for the shop, but it was one of my favorite shots of the day. It is an adorable bench and a great metal design above it. And the fact that it is a tad crooked adds some cute character.
